    Neighborhood Listening Session

Recently, The Department of Justice has relaxed its civil rights and criminal justice policies on police conduct. In lewd, of countless of officer misconduct here in Baltimore City and throughout the nation. The mistrust between these communities have high stakes. Baltimore is faced with the collateral damage of 2/3's of its residents filled in city jails and state prisons. How did we get here? What will it take to build better relationships between citizens and  the justice department and police officers- sworn to protect and serve the community.

We can find common sense practices of: mutual respect and accountability, officer training,  and community civic participation.

Progressive Maryland, Baltimore Chapter will bring together the community to discuss these issues and the impact of Mass Incarceration and ways by which we want to see change! Come let your Voice Be Heard. #BeMoreHeard

ps: Light Refreshments will be served.

Campaign Training on Transformational Politics 3-Day

We are having a 3-Day Movement Politics Campaign Training on December 8th-10th in Prince Georges County Maryland. Movement politics is the process of fighting for a democracy where people - not corporations - set the agenda, and where we all have a voice. We are looking for people to help with both issue and electoral campaigns to win victories all Maryland.

Training on Friday, December 8th will be from 5:30 pm -9 pm
Training on  Saturday, December 9th will be from 10 am-6 pm
Training on Sunday, December 10th will be from 10 am-4: 30 pm

In towns and neighborhoods across the country, we hold conversations with voters about the issues of the day and the world we’re fighting to build. We train volunteers to knock on neighbors’ doors and transform their communities into a force at the polls. We ask candidates tough questions and secure policy commitments. And, crucially, we help leaders in our movement transition from community activists to elected office, transforming our political system town by town and state by state.

Please note that we have started charging on a sliding scale(Non-Progressive Maryland Member 75.00, Progressive Maryland Member 50.00, and Student/Scholarship 25.00 Tickets) for our training to ensure that we can continue to provide quality training. Our training will give you the skills to engage others in the issues and campaigns you care about! Questions about the training?
