United States House of Representatives voted in favor of taking healthcare away from 23 million Americans. 

With the inherent values of Progressive Maryland including social justice and anti-oppression, economic justice, and inherent human dignity, it is a logical next step that healthcare as a human right for everyone is not only important to us, but we believe preservation of healthcare for all Marylanders is time-sensitive.

 Don't Cut Health Care for Families to Give More Tax Breaks to the Rich and Corporations! 

Join us at one or all of our events below! 

We will be encouraging Progressive Maryland members to join our allies with the Takoma Park Mobilization, Our Revolution, Do the Most Good MoCo, several Indivisible groups - as well as UltraViolet and Sen. Schumer for the following action:

Rally and People’s Public Hearing Against the AHCA and ACA Repeal

Members of Progressive Maryland to meet at Capitol South Metro station at 10:30am.

11am-1pm at Capitol Building

US Capitol East Lawn on the Senate side across from the Supreme Court

 

After the rally, we will go as a group to Office of Rep. Andy Harris (CD1) to let him know how concerned/upset/at risk constituents are with the repeal of the ACA.

Second we'll go to offices of Sen. Van Hollen and Cardin to thank them for their support and tell them to do everything in their power to DELAY this bill!
