Join us tomorrow -- Thursday, May 28 -- at 5:30 PM for a statewide discussion of critical educational needs in these tough times, and how to elect leaders who will listen. The pandemic is straining all of our institutions and systems, especially our public school system. Once we begin to rebuild our economy and communities, our public schools will be central to how well we recover. That’s why the fate of the Blueprint for Maryland’s Future, which was passed by the General Assembly and vetoed by Governor Hogan, is so important. Be active -- have impact!

We hope this message finds you and your family safe and healthy. We’re looking forward to another call with you and fellow Marylanders tomorrow evening where our focus will be on public education and the June 2 primary election. The pandemic is straining all of our institutions and systems, especially our public school system. Once we begin to rebuild our economy and communities, our public schools will be central to how well we recover. That’s why the fate of the Blueprint for Maryland’s Future, which was passed by the General Assembly  and vetoed by Governor Hogan, is so important.Â
Join us along with state leaders from Strong Schools Maryland and Annapolis to hear about what happened during the legislative session and what needs to happen at this moment in order to make sure we secure the kind of investment the Blueprint offers and that our children and teachers need.Â
We’ll also share some news and notes about our issue and chapter building campaigns this summer. And we’ll end with a little Get Out The Vote rally and action taking for one of our endorsed candidates in a very close local election. We need to turn out pro-education and progressive voters!
Help us Get Out the Vote and learn how to become part of the solution for stronger schools. Click here to RSVP.
This will be our last weekly statewide meeting for a few weeks as we take a short break after the election and take some time to prepare our summer meeting schedule, so this is a meeting you won’t want to miss!
