Progressive Maryland Endorses Three Candidates for Municipal Races this 2023 Election
Annapolis, MD – Progressive Maryland is proud to issue an endorsement of three exceptional candidates for this year's municipal races. The candidates are Iyamide House for Bowie City Council (District 3),Izola Shaw for Rockville City Council At-Large, and Martin Mitchell for Laurel Mayor of the City of Laurel.

Izola Shaw's tireless work in promoting environmental sustainability and advocating for marginalized communities has also earned her the endorsement of Progressive Maryland. Her emphasis on transparent and accountable governance, combined with her passion for improving the lives of Rockville residents, makes her a standout candidate for the Rockville City Council.
Martin Mitchell's extensive experience in advocacy, coupled with his visionary approach to sustainable urban development, positions him as an outstanding candidate for the role ofMayor. Mitchell's vision for Laurel is one that embraces diversity, promotes safety, and seeks to address the unique challenges faced by its residents. Mitchell's noteworthy efforts in advocating for rent stabilization and supporting collective bargaining for municipal employees further highlight his dedication to fair and equitable governance.
