“Tell Dr. Maxwell To Restore Funding For Advanced Placement!"

Join us Thursday, October 13, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. for a rally out in front of the Board of Education (Sasscer Building, 14201 School Lane, Upper Marlboro, MD 20772) in response to the sudden cutbacks to county funding for Advanced Placement Exams.

“The county school system has covered the cost of the exam ($93.00) per exam for all enrolled students for years, but a recent letter sent out to schools from Dr. Maxwell’s administration has suddenly changed this. The letter states that due to lack of funding the county would ONLY pay for the exam if the student participates in the Free and Reduced Lunch Program. This change means that every student in AP that is not in the Free and Reduce Lunch Program will have to pay $93.00 per exam.”

Bring your protest signs and as many students, parents, teachers, and community leaders as possible to let your voices be heard in the best interests of our children.

Don't forget to sign the petition and contact your County Council representative.

Will you come?
